I had the thought (quite early in the morning) that we hadn't discussed Nina's costume being below knee length- in fact we'd even discussed it being a mini dress or a no- dress but never a maxi. Trying to imagine the stop- motion, clay sculpted movement (Svankmajer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2IzPmKNiQs ) of a long, clingy dress immediately appealed more to me than the idea of an above the knee skirt, the image felt a lot more mature and elegant as the dress would be more obviously a part of her anatomy.
